Still Waters Counseling Services

Founded by counselors who wanted to help other counselors thrive, SWCS focuses on connecting clients with independently practicing counselors affiliated with us. We provide admin support to counselors so they can focus on helping you with your goals, not on distracting details. They get to be their own boss! We connect with you on your first phone call and answer questions, and refer you to the counselor of your choice. We also provide billing and insurance support.

We have locations in Knoxville, TN as well as Jefferson City, TN.

Counselors

All the counselors here are local, real people, fully licensed and experienced at what they do. While each counselor has their own unique approach and specialties, they all aim to give a personalized care experience and treatment approaches that are customized to each unique person they work with, and build up their clients with skills they can use to address their needs.

Each counselor is independently in-network with some insurances, click below to learn more.

Three partnership opportunities…

  • Partner With SWCS as a Counselor

At SWCS we serve other counselors by contracting with them to take care of their overhead and admin background tasks that eat away at their valuable time and energy, at a competitive rate. This allows counselors to work at their own pace, be their own boss and do clinical counseling in their own professional manner.

Every counselor that has worked in an agency setting or group practices knows what the workload, pay and quality of life often looks like.

Every counselor that has run their own unsupported practice knows what the headaches, heartaches and hardships in that arena.

Both can lead to burnout, isolation and sudden career path changes.

SWCS was founded by counselors who experienced it all, and decided there had to be a better way.

  • Counselors Partnering With Churches

Some independently practicing counselors affiliated with SWCS offer to form helpful collaborative relationships with local churches to help their congregants have a place to turn to when needed. Instead of the scramble and hassle of trying to find a trustworthy professional counselor last minute, churches can form relationships with these counselors that offer it and have a resource handy in a timely fashion.

  • Counselors Partnering with Businesses

Growing businesses rely on their team members, but who do the team members rely upon?

Several independently practicing counselors affiliated with SWCS offer collaborative approaches with local businesses to ensure that their team members have access to local resources for mental health concerns. Learn more here.
